Parisian club Racing 92 have reportedly paid the Vodacom Bulls a multi-million-rand transfer fee to secure the services of Springbok prop Trevor Nyakane.

According to French sports outlet RMC Sport, Nyakane has agreed to join the Top 14 club until after the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.
Nyakane is currently still under contract at the Bulls, but Racing were so intent on securing Nyakane’s signature that they agreed to buy him out of the remainder of his contract.
Though no official figure has been attached to Nyakane’s transfer fee, unconfirmed reports put it at approximately R5 million.
Nyakane earned his 50th Springbok cap this year and dazzled on both sides of the scrum as the world’s premier ‘swing prop’.
Racing 92 are reportedly dissatisfied with their current tighthead props and Nyakane has been sought for this role.
The Bulls stalwart’s move to France is part of a wider recruitment drive by Racing 92, whose president, Jacky Lorenzetti, has been vocal about recruiting more liberally ahead of next season.
Nyakane’s move, set to be announced this week, follows Duane Vermeulen joining new club Ulster and takes the total of South Africa’s Autumn Nations squad based abroad to 53%.
