Vodacom Bulls hooker Jaco Visagie has joined French Top 14 title-holders Toulouse on a short-term loan deal during the World Cup.
Visagie has signed a short-term contract to link up with Toulouse as a medical joker to provide cover while first-choice hooker Peato Mauvaka is away during the World Cup with the French national team.
Additionally, Toulouse captain Julien Marchand, as well as his brother Guillaume, are suffering from injuries, creating a shortage of depth in the No 2 jersey.
It will be the 27-year-old’s second stint overseas after also joining English side Gloucester at the end of 2018 on a similar loan deal.
However, Visage’s arrival in the south of France had been delayed due to administrative problems, including issues with his visa.
The record 20-time French champions begin the defence of their title with a trip to Bordeaux-Begles on Saturday.
