France wing Vincent Rattez has been ruled out for the rest of the Six Nations after sustaining a broken leg against Italy on Sunday.
The 27-year-old Rattez, who started in Les Bleus’ two opening Tests as a result of Damian Penaud’s injury-enforced absence, played a starring role in both their victories over England and Italy.
Unfortunately, it was confirmed on Tuesday that Rattez will miss the rest of the tournament after suffering a broken fibula in the closing moments of the match against Stade de France in Paris.
France have since recalled three players – Penaud, Virimi Vakatawa and Camille Chat – to their squad in the lead-up to their third game against Wales in Cardiff next week.
Much like Penaud, Vakatawa and Chat missed two opening rounds due to injury.
